The songs of water/songs of war project started out as a way of teaching some of Emma’s songs to various groups (Clearwater, The Raging Grannies, Veterans For Peace, Brooklyn Parents for Peace, etc…) that wanted to sing them at their events. As more musicians and music lovers got involved, the project grew.

The CD packaging itself is made from 100% recycled cardboard and printed with vegetable inks. With the exception of the CD, it is biodegradable. No animals we harmed in the making of this CD.

5% of the proceeds from sales of songs of water/songs of war will be used towards environmental protection education.
